A MESSAGE FROM THE 2023 TCIA PRESIDENT, KEVIN DOHERTY

Hello,

I just wanted to say thank you again on behalf of the TCIA  for attending our 11th Annual conference November 15-17, 2022 in Nashville. We seem to have weathered the pandemic well and are back to our pre-pandemic numbers with over 200 attendees. I hope you found it to be an educational, worthwhile and fun event.

As always, we do our best to get top level speakers and have plenty of great networking opportunities to make the trip useful to your captive insurance business. In addition to our normal Captives 101 session and a visit from Tennessee Commissioner Carter Lawrence, we had fantastic panels covering a wide range of relevant captive topics, including tax, actuarial, investment, accounting, regulatory, cell, and historical matters affecting captives.

And, of course, in addition to the business portion of the conference, we also enjoyed entertaining you with top notch hit songwriting and an NHL hockey game! Fortunately, the home town Predators won their game against the Minnesota Wild 2-1, and songwriters Neil Thrasher and Kelley Lovelace were in top form singing their chart topping songs.

Last, but not at all least, I wanted to remind you of the dates and location for our 12th Annual Conference, which will be held next year from November 5-7, 2023, at the Grant Hyatt in downtown Nashville (just a few short blocks from this year’s location at the Renaissance).

Once again, thank you for coming to our conference and visiting Nashville, and I look forward to seeing most of you again soon at another captive conference. Stay safe, and have a very happy holiday season.
